2010 Opel Astra by Irmscher: official details revealed
Tuesday, September 1st, 2009
This new styling kit for the latest Astra will be displayed at the Frankfurt Motor Show and will be on sale in Germany beginning September 17. Irmscher, the tuner specializing in Opel products, revised the exterior to feature a new front spoiler lip, a radiator grille panel with design rail in stainless steel or carbon look, seamlessly merged side skirts and an agile-looking rear roof spoiler. Irmscher is known for having its components much more closely integrated with the final product. To improve both handling and looks, Irmscher fitted an air diffuser and lowered the suspension by 30mm. Twin elliptical tailpipes provide an extra satisfactory beat to the sound. New “Turbo Star” 18-inch wheels with 225/45×18 tires were used but bigger 20s will be made available not long after the car’s launch. Custom leather was used for the seats, the door panels and the central armrests. Aluminum was used for the door-locking pins and the pedals while the sills are made from stainless steel. Along with the standard LPG conversion of your 2.4-liter gasoline version of the Opel Antara CUV, German retrofitter Irmscher is throwing in a set of new wheel rims, a roof spoiler and side skirts.
