Frankfurt Motor Show: Mansory Cyrus based on Aston Martin DB9 or DBS

Sunday, September 20th, 2009

Mansory CyrusThe Cyrus package presented by the tuners at Mansory is all about masculinity and power. Based on the Aston Martin DBS or the DB9, the Cyrus has a newly designed front skirt with enlarged air inlets, the carbon fiber wing extensions and the newly designed rear skirt with an integrated diffuser.

The function of the two slotted power domes on the carbon fiber bonnet is to send extra air into the 12-cylinder engine. Other features added include the stainless steel tailpipes attached to the sonorous sport exhaust system. The car rides on large 9×20 front and 10.5×21 rear ultra-forged rims wrapped in 255/30ZR20 front and 295/25ZR21 rear Dunlop Sport Maxx tires. To improve road holding, the coilover suspension has been adjusted to lower the center of gravity. Luxurious details extend to the interior where tailor-made carbon fiber parts are found. The accents are seen all over the dashboard, the center console and the re-designed steering wheel. Embroidered CYRUS logos are displayed on the doorsills and headrests while foot pedals are made of aluminum. If you look closely, you’ll be pleasantly surprised that hand-stitched leather covers the seats, parts of the dashboard and inside the door panels. Continued after the jump!

Frankfurt Motor Show: Mansory Cyrus based on Aston Martin DB9

Friday, September 18th, 2009

Mansory CyrusFrom a DB9, the tuners from Mansory have created an Aston Martin One-77 lookalike, dubbed the Cyrus. Mansory is known for its outlandish creations and has provided an alternative to the limited edition One-77, which will go into production several months from now.

The lookalike will be made from aerospace-grade carbonfiber and the price will be €380,000  on top of the €124,000 for a new DB9. Quite expensive you might think but it still does fall short of the anticipated €1.3 million cost for the One-77. The Mansory DB9 rides on 20-inch alloys at the front and 21-inch at the rear. The interior is decked out with extra aluminum and carbonfiber, with Cyrus logos stitched into the headrests. Mansory has pushed for an extra 28bhp from the Aston’s V12. A version of the DBS is also available.

Saturday, March 7th, 2009

Mansory Porsche 911 (997)The Bavarian-based turning specialist Mansory demonstrates it technical capabilities for all kinds of cars whether it is a Bentley, Rolls-Royce, McLaren, Ferrari or Porsche. Mansory Swtizerland AG, the in-house tuner for Prosche automobiles offer a wide-ranging tuning program for the 911 model derived from the recently resurrected Porsche Type 997 series at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show.

To reduce weight and ensure highest quality standards, body components and parts are produced from PU-RIM. The main part of the body package is a lift-lowering front mount in an actively athletic appearance. On the front face and in relation to the hood, the front apron provides numerous design possibilities and perfectly forms interdependence with the serial hood through a seamless junction provided by a specifically designed inlay. Furthermore, the apron can be combined with the Mansory carbon engine cover whose attractive side beads exhibit individuality and emphasize the sportive nature of the revision.
