Caterham’s famous Seven sports vehicle is now available for rent from eight locations. A number of new Roadsport units are also joining the fleet. The Hire-A-7 service allows the drivers to experience the pleasure of driving the open-topped, lightweight sports vehicle on their favorite A and B-roads. This sports vehicle is famous for its intuitive handling characteristics. Rental rates for the ultimate “race car for the road” are generally only slightly higher than regular cars for hire.
They start at £175 a day. The service offers discounts for weekends as well as low rates on weekdays. The service runs until the end of October each year, and is available from Caterham South, Surrey; Caterham Midlands, Leicester; Open Road Hire, Scottish Highlands; Mark on Europe, Swindon; Seven Hire, Gloucestershire. Roadsport Hire in Yorkshire, Highlands; Caterham Hire in Scotland; and Hire 7, Northern Ireland, have recently joined the initiative.
Most Hire-A-7 cars are the Roadsport units. This means that there is enough comfort for long-distance travel as well as sufficient weather protection. With its distinctive handling characteristics, the Caterham Seven is unlike any model on the road. Its stunning maneuverability, alert throttle response and direct, race-inspired steering complement each other to give a second-to-none driver experience. The vehicles can be rented from Friday to Monday at a price starting £325 for two days -- 240 free miles included – or £175 for one day’s hire -- 120 free miles included.
