Chevrolet Camaro SS to ‘make’ pace in the 2010 Indianapolis 500

The Inferno Orange metallic muscle car marks the sixth time that a Camaro has paced the 500 since its debut in 1967.
The highly anticipated event takes place at the Brickyard on May 30. Jim Campbell, General Manager of Chevrolet, said that it has had a ‚Äúgreat partnership with the Indianapolis Motor Speedway throughout the years‚Äù and that it is proud to have this privilege once again. The 2010 Camaro is equipped with a stock 6.2-litre V8 engine that generates 400hp. The 2010 Camaro boasts of accessories that include an all-new front grille insert that Chevrolet plans to offer as a future Camaro accessory, 2010 Indianapolis 500 event logo badges on front fenders, amber lens tail lamps, and 2010 Indianapolis 500 event logo painted on the doors and embroidered on driver and passenger headrests. Jeff Belskus, president and CEO of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Corporation, calls the 2010 Chevy Camaro SS Pace Car as ‚Äúsimply beautiful.‚Äù He expects that the car‚ tribute to the race‚ history will be a big hit with the fans.
