Chevrolet treats 2012 Goodwood Festival visitors with “Moving Motor Show”

Chevrolet Moving Motor Show

Chevrolet would not let year pass without participating in one of the most prestigious automotive events in the world – the four-day 2012 Goodwood Festival of Speed being held at the Goodwood House in West Sussex, England.   On June 28, 2012, the event featured the ‘Moving Motor Show,’ during which Chevrolet gave several visitors the chance to drive either an Aveo, Volt or Camaro up the world-renowned hill-climb under the direct supervision of the company’s pro-drivers. Festival of Speed visitors who get to Chevrolet’s main stand have a chance to get acquainted with the Chevrolet World Touring Car Championship (WTCC) winning car.

During the Festival of Speed, an annual hillclimb that features historic motor racing vehicles, Chevrolet will display its entire car range at its stand to celebrate its rich American heritage as well as it reputation as one of the best and known brands in the motoring and racing industries.

Among Chevrolet’s showcased cars, the new Aveo is receiving much attention with its extreme stunts. Prior to the Festival of Speed, the new Chevrolet Aveo completed a number of ‘firsts’ this year: a skydive; a Bungee jump; a skateboard-inspired Kickflip; a music video and an edgy street art. At Goodwood, the new Aveo is performing its first cliff-hanger, as the model towers over the famous grounds of the Goodwood House and displayed mid-abseil on the Chevrolet stand. Daredevil visitors could have a chance to perform a cliff-hanger beside the Aveo by abseiling 10 meters down the Chevrolet cliff-hanger wall.
