Chevrolet updates Volt’s interior

Because its power train is not what GM has expected it to be, the Chevy Volt will not be released to the public quite yet. More testing is in view, especially of its batteries, before they can go into the market. Having an allowance of time prior to releasing the car has its pronounced advantages for the design team, which is at liberty to make the necessary adjustments to the Volt.
Bob Boniface and his team, for example, have modified the stock car's center stack with a transformed LCD screen perched up top with a hood that matches the one over the gauge cluster. The new screen has sleeker edges and appears to be more incorporated with the dash. Boniface says that many people thought the previous screen design was changeable, it was not.
There are many minor alterations inside the vehicle particularly at the dash. For example there are now new vents located on both sides of the iPod-like central control console that contains all the Volt's controls. The buttons, which are pill-shaped, have a tactile feel to them and they now include new audible that sound when the buttons are pressed. Although these changes seem to be in the category of "minor" they serve to enhance the overall improvement of the already attractive interior.
