Riding on the “Hottest Sports Compact Car” award by the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) that Fiat 500 won in November 2011, the new Fiat 500 “Stinger” combined two Mopar stage kits that deliver bold styling features and limited high-performance parts from the Mopar catalog. The Fiat 500 Stinger features a Giallo (yellow) exterior combined with blackened exterior and interior appointments intended to intensify the car’s athletic Italian styling.
Stage 1 kit includes giving the hatchback athletic and purposeful styling enhancements. The Fiat 500 Stinger’s signature “whiskers and logo” face and circular projector headlamps are finished in Black Chrome. The Giallo bodyside were accented by exterior door handles and mirror caps with Black Chrome finish.
Stinger’s 17”x7” Abarth Hyper Black aluminum wheels were fitted with 205/40 R 17 performance tires, giving it a menacing stance. The car’s serious look was amplified by tinted head and tail lamps and license-plate brow; Mopar’s vinyl bodyside; and roof graphics in black checker.
At the inside, the Fiat 500 Stinger is still laden with Giallo-black combo and with Mopar’s Katzkin leather seats. The Fiat 500 Stinger’s feature Alcantara seat centers in between Giallo black leather bolsters and Giallo accent stitching.
Stage 2 involves giving the Stinger some track-tested performance upgrades. The Stage 2 kit ensures the Stinger is blessed with improved power and braking capabilities that match its aggressive looks. The Fiat 500 Stinger is fitted with Mopar’s cold-air intake and free-flowing cat-back exhaust to ensure that its 1.4-liter 16-valve MultiAir engine would provide even more power and torque.
With the intent of inclusivity rather than exclusivity, the Fiat 500 designers came up with an encompassing design concept, targeting a wider swath of potential customers with vastly varying preferences. This bold concept was successfully translated into actual tangible design features of the Fiat 500, with the infusion of technologically advanced and innovative systems in the passenger compartment, such as the second generation Blue&Me, an iPod interface feature and a newly developed, dashboard-mounted portable navigator system, interconnectable to the Fiat 500’s other vehicle functions, jointly developed specially for the 500 by Magneti Marell & Fiat.
Fiat’s customization concept is not limited to tangible products, as it also covers services and payment mode options, such as the 500 Cents and the 50to500 programs, created by the Fiat Group Automobile Financial Services. These payment programs allow the customer to purchase any Fiat 500 variant, including any desired customizations, at very convenient payment terms, such as an extremely low amortization scheme of only ¤ 5 a day and with no required downpayment! Other attractive offers are its no downpayment scheme and its 50% downpayment scheme, with the balance to be paid after two years.
Furthermore, every time a customer avails of any of the above-mentioned services and payment mode options, an additional 5-year, 500,000-kilometer manufacturer’s warranty is given, including a 24-hour roadside service and other awesome first-time offers. During periodic maintenance check-ups, Fiat will take care of picking up the car at the customer’s home. Moreover, the customer shall be reimbursed for incurred taxi fares while his car is unavailable.
The Fiat 500 truly offers endless possibilities in as far as utmost customer satisfaction is concerned, because the Fiat 500 is the new Fiat, made for the people, and by the people; it is for everyone. It definitely lives up to its reputation as the new people’s car.
