At the 2014 Chicago Auto Show, Nissan unveiled the Frontier Diesel Runner Concept. Powered by a 2.8-liter four-cylinder diesel engine that delivers almost 200 hp and more than 350 lb-ft. of torque, the pickup concept comes with special exterior modifications.
The modifications include a custom "Arrest Me Red" and Matte Silver paint treatment, aerodynamic full-bed tonneau cover and tailgate spoiler, a transparent acrylic hood insert that provides a window to the engine bay and 16-inch wheels borrowed from the Frontier PRO-4X and treated with special two-tone paint, Arrest Me Red for the rear wheels and silver in front.
Behind these wheels we can find the brake calipers painted in contrasting colors, silver at the rear and red on the front. Same theme is continued inside, where the Frontier Diesel Rnner Concept comes with red accents throughout and carbon-trimmed seats and panels.
Moreover, the front and rear seats feature carbon-print leather appointments with grey accent stitching and black-on-black "Tracks" embroidery. On the instrument panel, we find a carbon film, highlighted by red-tined gauges and a special black-faced diesel-specific three-gauge pod on top of the C-cluster. [source: Nissan]
