It appears that China will soon replace Germany as Audi’s largest market due to the rising sales figures that displayed booming growth for luxury cars. According to Audi, its sales increased by almost 68 percent to 22,358 units in August, which brings the total in the past eight months to 152,782 vehicles for a cumulative year-to-date gain of 63 percent.
Meanwhile, in Germany, Audi saw only 144,365 units through August. Although Audi is not the only German manufacturer on the Chinese market, Audi still has the biggest slice of the market than rivals BMW and Mercedes-Benz. [via autonews - sub. required]
