Just like General Motors did it in June, Chrysler Group announced that it will no longer publish monthly North American vehicle production reports. According to a Chrysler spokesman, the company decided to make this move because it is not more global and the monthly production reflects only NAFTA production and it represents only a snapshot of the total wholesale shipments.
Still, quarterly earnings will continue. Chrysler didn’t release any additional information. For those who don’t know, Chrysler made up 15 percent of the North American production total for 2012 and 2013. Moreover, the company built 2,509,684 vehicles in 2013.
