Citroen C1 Connexion Edition goes on sale in the UK

2012 Citroen C1 Connexion

Pricing for Citroën’s new C1 Connexion has been announced. What makes this a highly remarkable vehicle is that this is the first production car in the UK built from an app created in collaboration with Facebook. The C1 Connexion has already started selling. The one with 3 doors is priced at £9,495 while the five-door variant costs £9,845. The special edition was created from the over 24,000 configurations sent through Citroën’s Facebook Page. The visitors to the site would arrive at a virtual ‘factory floor’ to select the appearance of the model and its features. The most popular configuration was used for the final design of C1 Connexion.

A Citroën Facebook fan had designed the name badge that could be seen on the car. The C1 Connexion is based on the well-specified C1 1.0i 68 manual in VTR trim. It is built with 14"alloy wheels, dark tinted rear windows, Caldera Black metallic paint and Scarlet Red exterior and interior detailing.

The C1 Connexion is only £500 more expensive than the VTR version on which it is based even if it comes with additional equipment that’s worth more than £925. The C1 Connexion’s 1.0i 68 petrol engine is frugal and has low CO2 emissions. It offers a combined cycle fuel economy of 65.7mpg with CO2 emissions of only 99g/km, which makes this model VED free and exempt from the London Congestion Charge.
