Citroen DS Inside Concept

For the very first time, the DS Inside concept interior has been unveiled by the French carmaker Citroen and although the car is still in concept form it comes with a stereo, climate control and even a number plate, making it obviously ready for production. Citroen has an eye on the Mini market and will use this car's sportiness and quality to get a foothold there. The passenger compartment of the DS Inside is covered with leather, and comes with two-tone ergonomic seats with multiple sections that imitate a watch bracelet. To underscore the driver-centered characteristic of the car, the seats are located quite low behind a small sport steering wheel.

The design of the dashboard is the same as that of the latest C3 model, but in the DS3 it moves across the vehicle with a dark cowling above cone shaped instruments. The roof is leather on the outside and comes with the DS line badge embossed on it, but the carmaker is also contemplating on the vinyl roof of the 70s. With a wide range of individual specifications for the Citroen car, buyer will have lots of choices, and the DS3 will attract both men and women.

An insider revealed that the DS3 will look 95 percent like the DS Insider. The DS3 will hit the market in March next year and will be patterned closely to the latest C3, which is the first Citroen to come with the new double chevron badge, will be released at the end of 2009. The DS3, which will be the second model to come with the double chevron emblem, will be the first of the new range of DS cars to hit the market, intended to offer a more appealing car than other standard models of the French carmaker.
