Sam Locricchio, a spokesman for the show from John Bailey & Associates Inc. in suburban Detroit, handles public relations for the auto show. He said that talks had been ongoing on keeping the show at Cobo and the organizers have been able to do that because of “being able to initiate and complete the first steps of upgrading the facility to be on par with some of the folks on the circuit.”
