Corvette ZR1 by Hennessey Performance

The most powerful supercar of America, the Corvette ZR1, which is currently receiving power boosts from the tuner Hennessey and called the ZR700 can now generate 755 hp (526 kW) compared to the stock model which can only generate 638 hp (476 kW). It can finish the quarter-mile in just 11.03 seconds at 136 mph (219 km/h) and has a torque capacity of 717 lb-ft (970 Nm).
The power increase was achieved by increasing the boost from the supercharger by 3psi raising it to 14psi, opening up the air intake with a K&N filter, fitting in a new intercooler, utilizing a stainless steel exhaust headers, and changing the factory catalytic converters with higher-flow units and rounding off with a custom ECU tune. Available as a mail order package, the parts to build your own ZR700 will be available this May.
The wide-ranging alterations brings about a remarkable list of performance figures including 3.1 seconds for the 0-60mph sprint (an improvement of 0.7 seconds), 13.9 seconds for the 0-150mhp run (a significant 3.2 or 18.7% savings), and a maximum speed of 212mph (an increase of about 10mph).
For those whose power-demands are insatiable, there is a ZR750 under the works currently that will add 200 rpms to the current 5,800 rpm making it 6,000 rpm! It also comes with high-flow cylinder heads, upgraded camshaft, and further tweaks to push 755 hp (563 kW) and 730 lb-ft (988 Nm) of torque from the 6.2-liter V8 powerhouse.
