Dacia Duster ‘No Limit’ is ready for the Pike Peak hill climb event

Dacia Duster Pikes Peak Racer

The 850hp Nissan GT-R Duster that will be competing in the Pikes Peak hill climb event this June has finally been named. Renault wants it to be referred to as the Dacia Duster ‘No Limit’. It is an outstanding, highly powerful car that that was developed specifically for racing here. Tork Engineering designed, produced, developed and built the Dacia Duster 'No Limit' while Sodemo worked on its engine. Renault Sport Technologies supplied certain parts and also made suggestions based on its motorsports expertise.

The name is fitting as the vehicle meets the specific regulations of the race’s 'Unlimited' class that doesn’t set an upper limit on either the size or power output of its engine. The rules don’t indicate a minimum weight as well.

There are no restrictions on the type of tires or on its aerodynamics or transmission system. Sodemo based its engine on the Nissan GT-R's NISSAN VR 38 DETT block. This 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine was tweaked to offer 850hp. Its engine is coupled to a sequential six-speed Sadev box that was designed to be able to handle this much power. At the same time, it also guarantees quick and precise gearshifts.
