Dacia cars will be up for sale online beginning September 15, 2011. The first website will be launched in Italy at dacia.it/dacia-store. Online sales of Dacia cars will then slowly be extended to other countries. The online sales of the vehicles through the website is still managed by the network, similar to a direct sale wherein the customer's preferred dealer is still the main point of contact. Internet shoppers can acquire two exclusively colored "Online" limited editions. Dacia is once again revolutionizing the automotive sector by putting its vehicles for sale on the World Wide Web.
This endeavor is in line with the company's values of intelligence, affordability and reliability. Italy was selected to launch Dacia Store, as this is where there are significant opportunities for online sales and it has a "networked" population open to online shopping. Moreover, Dacia is a highly successful brand in Italy, owning 2.1% market share at the end of July. The entire online purchasing procedure, which includes a sales contract online, gives the customers the convenience of purchasing vehicles directly online and making a down payment while still being able to choose their preferred Dacia dealer.
The selected dealer receives the necessary information, including the purchase order, from the website through e-mail. The dealer will then deliver the vehicle to the buyer and will receive the final payment. The network services the vehicles, with Dacia's new array of after-sales services, specially developed to satisfy the needs of the brand's customers.
