Daimler acquires stake in Tesla

Daimler acquired today nearly 10% of one of the leading electric vehicle companies, Tesla Motors. This move was made because the manufacturer is preparing for producing the electric Smart, which it will use the same batteries and charging system developed by Tesla. But this is not all: Mercedes-Benz is currently planning to build an electric car based on the current A-class platform next year. According to the officials, this step will accelerate the commercialization of electric drives globally, so expect more electric vehicles in the near future!
