Details, pricing of 2012 Buick Verano accidentally leaked in dealer letter

The Buick Verano, which is positioned under the Regal sedan, is expected to be introduced sometime in 2011 and to reach US consumers in 2012. The Verano compact follows the successful launching of the Regal. GM Inside News reported that Buick accidentally revealed the model’s preliminary equipment and pricing details through a survey letter distributed to Buick dealerships. It showed that just one engine is being developed for the Verano, a 2.4-liter inline-four (similar to what is used on the Regal) that delivers 180hp at 6,700 rpm and 172 pound-feet (233 Nm) of torque at around 4,900 rpm.
This will be equipped with an automatic transmission and will be available in four trim levels. The base model Verano, referred to as the 1SB in the letter, is priced from $20,900 (€15,750). Meanwhile, the second 1SD trim level features Bluetooth connectivity, automatic climate control and remote start. It has a starting price of around $22,100. This letter also revealed that the 1SG Veranos will offer a driver's seat, heated mirrors and rear park assist and will be priced from $23,300.
The range-topping 1SL will offer heated leather seats, Bose premium audio, a heated steering wheel and 18-inch wheels. And a 1SL will have a starting price of $25,600, but it can go up to as high as $26,200. [via GM Inside News]
