Instead of the much talked about flagship SRT8 muscle car, Dodge revealed a special variant of the mid-level R/T at the Detroit Auto Show this week. Bringing back to mind the original 1970 challenger, the new Challenger R/T Classic will primarily be available in the legendary Hemi Orange and Torred paint finhish with an A B5 Blue version added down the road along with other regular Challenger colors. A distinctive label on the front fenders, retro stripes, and throwback wheels will set this model apart from the others. The R/T will come with a fresh fully-functional hood scoop while mechanical modifications will be at a minimal implying that the 370 hp (276 kW) and 398lb-ft (540 Nm) of torque from the standard R/T will be maintained.
