As you may know already 2011 is a big year for Chrysler, as the American manufacturer introduced the 2012 Fiat 500 Sport on the North American market. But, in order to make things even more interesting, Chrysler announced today that the Italian brand will mark its debut at the 2011 Detroit Show with a Moparized version of the 2012 Fiat 500.
The list of Mopar accessories installed on the stylish Italian city car is quite big and includes: Door-sill guards with 500 logo, Roof/hood decals feature a double-blue stripe, Katzkin leather interior, black with blue accents, Carbon fiber-style hand brake,
Carbon fiber-style shift knob with leather boot , Rear window-mount rack, Snowboard carrier, Wheels, black gloss, Chromed exhaust tip, Chromed mirror covers, Chromed fuel door, Chromed grille surround, front and back, Wheel center caps, Key fob cover and Strut tower brace.
The company will be showing live demonstrations at its Accessorization Station, aside from the Moparized vehicles. To prove just how easy the installation process is, the company will be installing Mopar accessories on the 2011 Jeep Wrangler Call of Duty: Black Ops Edition.
According to Gorlier, the main objective was to convince customers that it was indeed simple to accessorize and personalize their vehicle. Similar to what was done with the Mopar Ram Runner, he continued, the company will also be assessing the reaction to the accessories that it plans to offer in the near future. The three vehicles listed below are examples of the Moparized vehicles and will be part of the Chrysler Group exhibit.
The first is the 4x4 Mopar Ram Runner, which while clearly inspired by the Baja-style of desert racing, is unlike any Ram ever seen before. In order to meet the demands of off-road racing, a vehicle would need to have a number of features that include being durable, having the right amount of ground clearance, a suspension system that can endure even the most tremendous impact, and large tires.
These are all part of the Mopar Ram Runner, included in a package that provides stability when running at speed and rock-solid in corners. Getting its inspiration from trophy trucks, the steel on its front fenders and the rear bed-sides have been replaced with fiberglass. As a result, it gives suspension articulation and comes with zero interference.
The second is the 2012 Fiat 500 (Cinquecento). With this, Fiat officially makes its comeback to the North American market. It offers a very efficient design, an Italian style, timeless functionality, and innovative technology. In fact, these are all the same attributes that made the original Fiat 500 the timeless icon that it is.
This latest incarnation however continues to be relevant to a new generation of drivers. The third is the 2011 Jeep Wrangler Call of Duty: Black Ops Edition. This particular vehicle is based on the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon model and has the dark Rubicon wheels with the high-gloss Mineral Gray
. The exterior comes in black with the roof and the front quarter panels having the Call of Duty: Black Ops graphics. Still, it continues to offer the capability that the Jeep is known for plus it has the two-speed transfer case, off-road 32-inch tires, and the live axles with the locking differentials on the front and rear parts.
