Mopar has taken the covers off the 2012 Dodge Charger Redline at the 2012 Detroit Auto Show. Chrysler said that the 426 HEMI-powered 2012 Dodge Charger Redline showcases the new Mopar performance kits that will be appearing later in 2012. For the first stage, the car’s look is enhanced with new carbon fiber exterior parts that also have interior accents like the full-width Mopar carbon fiber chin spoiler and two-piece grille that come with a body-color painted-grille surround with black signature "crosshair" insert.

In addition, it comes with Redline Tri-coat paint, a set of new 20 x 8-inch Mopar Black Envy Wheels that have a Pitch Black-painted wheel face with polished accents, carbon fiber door scoops and a fresh three-piece Mopar carbon fiber rear spoiler.

Mopar's vinyl roof graphic in matte black serves to put emphasis on the fastback silhouette of the Dodge Charger Redline. When it comes to the interior, it uses premium materials like the Mopar aluminum shift bezel and aluminum instrument panel bezel with Redline perimeter accent as well as new stainless steel Mopar pedal covers with a rubberized pattern for better traction.

What Mopar offers for the second stage are first-class power, braking and handling. The 2012 Dodge Charger Redline is equipped with a Mopar cat-back performance exhaust system that improves sound and boosts power, a front-tower cross-brace and front tower brace caps that enhance the structural stability for better handling dynamics as well as new high-performance Mopar brake linings.

The engine is the focus of the third stage. The 426 HEMI V8 crate engine has an output of 590hp, which is 220hp higher than the standard one seen on the 2012 Dodge Charger R/T. The Dodge Charger Redline's Stage III performance kit also has Mopar cast-aluminum valve covers and billet fuel rails. Mopar has also introduced several industry-first features on the 2012 Dodge Charger Redline, like the vehicle-information apps, electronic owner manuals, wi-fi and electronic vehicle tracking system (EVTS).

All-new Dodge Charger has an interior cockpit that is designed to be an enthusiast's office, with premium materials all throughout. Aside from a chassis that gives you a world-class feel of the road, it features a thick-rimmed three-spoke steering wheel that offers an enhanced performance feel and grip.

Dodge Charger passengers are surely surrounded with style, craftsmanship, and comfort, thanks to premium materials that are smooth to the touch, as well as four distinct interior combinations to choose from. Plus, the car’s cutting-edge Uconnect Touch integrates convenience technologies and infotainment that are truly world-class in order to keep passengers comfortable, secure, and connected. More specifically, Uconnect Touch delivers a great driving experience with the segment-leading Garmin navigation, the ability to check fuel costs, and the dual-zone climate controls.

Enthusiasts are the main target market for the Dodge Charges. Needless to say, the car is designed to appeal to enthusiasts who are looking for a kind of styling that stands out and for power, comfort, performance, space, and safety technologies, mainly for their respective families or for their lifestyle needs.

Charger buyers are young-at-heart and highly motivated individuals. And the new Charger meets buyers’ demands for a car that is able to deliver superior performance, fun-to-drive handling, iconic fastback coupe style, and a world-class execution, with the technology and the efficiency to do so much more.
