Buick unveiled at the 2015 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) its all-new Avenir Concept, a vehicle inspired by historic Buick concepts that influenced the auto industry. The first visual impact with the Avenir Concept shows a brand new front grille that previews a new face of the brand and features the three-color (red, silver and blue) Buick tri-shield badge, which is accented by wing-shaped elements.
In addition, the front end features bold headlamps featuring full LED lightning. The rear deck pays homage to historical models, such as the Riviera, while the Crystalline exterior colour accentuates the stylish body lines. Inside, there are four individual seats, while the surfaces are inspired by nature and sea waves.
Other highlights of the Avenir Concept include 20-inch wheels, a next-generation V6 engine with fuel-saving Active Fuel Management (cylinder deactivation) as well as stop/start technology, a 9-speed paddle-shift automatic transmission and driver-selectable suspension damping.
Moreover, the Avenir Concept received a twin-clutch all-wheel-drive system, the next-gen Buick IntelliLink infotainment with 12-inch color touchscreen, driver-recognition features, iconic cabin air filtration, mobile device wireless charging and OnStar 4G LTE with Wi-Fi hotspot.
