At the 2011 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit, the pressure is on for participating companies to make a good impression for the visitors and for the press. Michelin has created a special display for its 2011 booth.
This marks the 23rd year that Michelin is an exhibitor at the NAIAS. Michelin is also celebrating a decade of having the Michelin Challenge Design. Michelin is expected to present the characters that have been featured in its commercials worldwide.
Furthermore, Michelin will be showing off its latest concepts so it’s bound to be promising. In a statement, Barron Meade, 2011 NAIAS chairman, said that sponsors such as Michelin, ZF and Denso have a significant role not only because of the long-term commitment to NAIAS “but to the technological advancements and innovation they represent to the entire automotive industry.”
He added that the focus is often on the “final product” shown at NAIAS but he asserts that these vehicles would never have been made without the “forward thinking and research of suppliers who make these dream vehicles reality.”
He further stated that NAIAS is about “seeing the full spectrum of the industry” and that these featured partners “literally drive that point home."
