Although some manufacturers are seriously affected by the financial crisis, it appears that Spyker, the Dutch manufacturer saw a small increase this year, comparing it to the same period last year.
Now don‚Äôt imagine that the manufacturer is doing great: Spyker announced that it delivered/produced 15 cars (including the first two C8 Ailerons), versus 13 cars in Q4 2008 and 12 cars in Q1 2008. We also found something interesting: the new SUV will be named D8 Peking-to-Paris (not D12, because that name was related to the V12 engine that was going to be used by Spyker ‚ now the manufacturer will use a V8 engine, as we reported few days ago). Also, it seems that the development of the new D8 Peking-to-Paris is continuously in full progress and the official launch of the vehicle will take place in 2010. We managed to get an image with the clay model of the SUV and as you can see this will follow the design lines showed by the D12 concept featuring also the suicide rear doors. Photo after the jump!
