Devon GTX supercar revealed

Devon GTXAll set to compete for the Nurburgring‚ production car lap record of 6min 55sec is the Devon Motor Works GTX supercar. Businessman Scott Devon is funding the GTX, which is due to go on sale next year. The GTX, which will be unveiled later this week at Pebble Beach Concours, will have endurance racer Justin Bell, son of Le Mans legend Derek, to undertake the bulk of the development driving. The car is rumored to have over 650bhp and an ultra-light carbonfiber body. Daniel Paulin designed the car with purely track work in mind; the car has a distinctive glass roof section and the interior is said to be close to production ready, and mixes a state-of-the-art electronic dashboard with a gearlever that harks back to the 1970s muscle car era. The GTX will have to beat the production lap record currently held by Radical's SR8. Photo gallery after the jump!
