Diesel-powered Ferrari? Never!

The company's officials claim they will not meet the new technologies for the next years. Although other big producers apply for the diesel engines Ferrari sticks to petrol. Even so, it seems that the Italian car maker aims to reduce the cutting CO2 emissions with 40% by 2010. There are some current discussions regarding the Ferrari's next halo supercar and the F430 which could receive forced induction.
At the present, the most eco-friendly car of Ferrari seems to be California, with great success on the markets, but still no annual sales over 10,000 pieces.
The company will have to make improvements in maximizing aerodynamic efficiency, lowering weight and making the best of their gasoline engines as the environment care is getting every day more important.
