Dodge Challenger by Procharger
The 2008 SEMA Show has ended, but the aftermarket accessories keep coming in, and ProCharger’s newest addition, a quartet of forced-induction systems and kits - pledges to generate 150 hp (112 kW) or more from the 6.1-liter HEMI V8, such as the one found in the 2008 or 2009 Dodge Challenger SRT8.
Two versions of the ProCharger HO Intercooled system and two variants of the Stage II supercharger kit form the entire lineup, one of each is a ’system’, and one of each is a ‘kit’. The systems are totally complete, ready to be fitted onto the vehicle. The kits will take some additional work; buyers will have to provide their own fuel system improvement and ECU tuning. Details and photos after the jump!
The HO system consists of a self-sufficient ProCharger P-1SC-1 Supercharger, a large, 3-core air-to-air intercooler, uprated fuel system and all necessary tubing and brackets. The principal difference between the ProCharger and Stage II systems is the utilization of shared drive for the ProCharger and dedicated drive for the Stage II model.
6 psi is the standard pressure for all of the superchargers, when merged with more fuel and a proper tune, that will increase output by 150hp. Since the SRT8’s HEMI already generates 425 hp (317 kW), adding that excess 150 hp brings the total up to 575 hp (429 kW).
