Accidentally discovered in an advertising microsite was a Dodge Challenger R/T project vehicle which is called the Eco plus Muscle Challenger. At first glance the car looks straightforward enough although it seemed totally lavish for a project vehicle. The makers of the car changed the intake, exhaust, headers, filters and spark plugs, gave it a tweaked ECU and shorter final drive, swapped the whole suspension and installed Brembo brakes and 20 inch wheels in Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 tires. The paint job is customized. But the changes do not end there! The car also comes with a nitrous system that enables the car to go from 0-60 in just 4 seconds and gobble up the quarter-mile in just 13.4 seconds with a speed of 114mph. These figures are contrasted to the factory version which can sprint to the same speed in 5.5 seconds and finish the quarter-mile in 13.9 at 103mph. But there's still more! The car comes with a separate electric drivetrain, which means a rear-drive electric power unit of 89lbs. It also comes with a battery pack consisting of 28 car batteries located in what used to be the back seat. That's not yet the end though! In addition, the car comes with a fuel cell and double throttle control! Indeed, this is a new definition for Eco plus Muscle! [via insideline]
