Ducati UK enjoys record sales in 2011 with 2,345 motorcycles sold

Ducati UK sold 2,345 motorcycles in 2011, achieving its best-ever sales figure since 2003. Moreover, the company recorded its best-ever market share statistic in the United Kingdom. The company also became the fastest growing Motorcycle brand in the nation, with motorcycle sales increasing by 15.3 percent. Sales were evenly spread through its product lineup with Superbike, Monster, Diavel and Multistrada sharing equal slices.
Customarily, the Superbikes comprise 50% of the company's total sales. However, due to the shrinking of the Superbike market, Ducati has responded to the changes in the market. It then evolved the lineup with award-winning product like the Multistrada and Diavel, which received MCN bike of the year in 2011.
Furthermore, Ducati UK also posted its best ever revenues for Apparel and Accessories segment, which contributed to its highest ever turnover. It is at the forefront in sales and product innovation. In addition, the company is offering customers a unique experience through test ride experiences and events.
Last year has been a busy one for Ducati with various significant events, the most notable of which is the transfer to new purpose-built headquarters at Silverstone. Other noteworthy events include launch of the 848 Challenge to the British Superbike Championship and the "Ducati Days" track event at Silverstone, which showcases the first public use of the new Silverstone Wing.
This year, Ducati UK is sustain its momentum with strong New Year sales and the 1199 Panigale, which has already been honored as "the most awaited bike of 2012." Dealers in the UK are expressing strong interest in the 1199 Panigale. In fact, many dealers are already asking for an increase in allocation of product to meet unprecedented demand.
