The most fuel economical and eco-friendly Bmw is here! The 116d comes with a staggering 64.2 mpg and a CO2 emissions rating of 118kg/km, which in combination leaves the present holder of the World Green Car of the Year award, the Bmw 118d, far behind. The 116d comes in both a three and five-door configurations and is propelled by a 116 hp 4-cylinder diesel engine. This powerplant, which has a torque measurement of 260 Nm from 1,750rpm, guarantees a sprint time from 0-60mph of only 10.2 seconds for the two-door version and 10.3 seconds for the five-door unit. Top speed is pegged at 125mph. Available for sale this March, the price for the three-door Bmw 116d is £17,605 OTR and the five-door variant costs £18,135 OTR.
