End of production for the Peugeot 1007
After being a commercial failure the past years, it comes as no surprise that the Peugeot 1007 is now out of production. Last year, it sold only 10,400 units, adding up to total of only 120,000 units in five years of production. This number is what Peugeot had originally expected to sell in just one year.
The reason for its failure is attributed to its high price point seeing that the car was intended as a city people mover. The space made on the Peugeot production line will now be dedicated to manufacturing the Citroen DS3 and Citroen C3, alongside the Peugeot 207.
