Entire Saab board will be replaced as GM continues the wind-down

As the wind down of Saab proceeds, management changes will continue as well. Saab Managing Director Jan Ake Jonsson and Saab's entire board will be replaced immediately. Saab's wind-down supervisors are Stephen Taylor and Peter Torngren of restructuring firm AlixPartners. It's expected that the closure of the brand will take several months. Although it is still unclear as to what Jonsson's job will be exactly however, he is likely to remain with the company and assist the supervisors. Jonsson, who has been with Saab since 1973, was named managing director of the company in March 2005. Notwithstanding these management changes, GM continues to review bids for Saab. [via autonews]
