Evosport presents new dry carbon DTM wing for the Mercedes-Benz CLK

Evosport has made public the release of their much awaited carbon fiber DTM rear wing, to match the triumph of their performance product improvements for the Mercedes-Benz CLK63 AMG Black Series. Patterned originally on the design of the production Mercedes-Benz wing typical on the current out-of-production Euro W209 CLK DTM AMG street vehicle, the Evosport wing is the ideal improvement for the buyer who wants extra tough styling and function while preserving a production appearance.
Not like the production CLK DTM AMG wing, however, which was made of fiberglass, the Evosport wing is constructed from carbon fiber which is lightweight, super-tough. Mounted on the trunk lid, the wing therefore removes the faint factory trunk lid spoiler, is available with a carbon fiber weave matching that of the factory CLK63 AMG Black Series carbon fiber surface parts.
Because there is only one trunk design for the members of the CLK-Class, the wing can also be installed on all W209 CLK coupe or cabriolet versions. The curved airfoil wing element is 6.25 inches (158.75mm) above the trunk cover at its highest point and includes incorporated end plates and vertical uprights. There is nominal impediment of the rear sight from the driver compartment with the installed wing.
Additionally, the trunk cover can be completely opened without the wing assembly touching any part of the car. Creation of the wing employs a process called pre-impregnated dry carbon fiber for outstanding quality and better muscle. The utilization of carbon fiber also permits for an extremely lightweight total wing structure that measures less than 3-lbs. The whole wing is stylishly finished in either a surface shine or matte clear coat which can be instantly installed onto the vehicle. A full or partial painting, should a buyer so wish, is possible in order to create an individualized overall look. Price: $4,500 or EUR 3,480.
