Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa race on snow with latest Ferrari FF

The two Scuderia Ferrari drivers Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa have engaged in a most unusual parallel slalom race, with the snow-capped mountains of Madonna di Campiglio in the backdrop. They went head to head through the gates at the wheel of two Ferrari FFs, which is the revolutionary four-seater four-wheel-drive Prancing Horse vehicle. The vehicle proved to be very entertaining as they drove on the slopes of the demanding hills and as they undertook endless changes of direction laid out on the downhill slalom course.
Alonso and Massa were able to safely handle the 660 horsepower V12 in the very low grip environment due to the essential 4WD traction system. This system deals with the frequently changing and variable amount of torque on each wheel independently, with fully integrated electronic control systems.
The FF upholds the tradition of the brand in providing a dynamic and sporty driving experience, thanks to its transaxle layout -- front-mid mounted engine, rear mounted gearbox -- as well as its weight distribution, with 53% to the back.
The skilled drivers enjoyed themselves in testing the FF in a unique scenario which is much different from the streets. The event ended in a perfect dead heat. Alonso commented that it is "incredible" how driving the FF is easy even on a "demanding surface" and how high a performance level it could reach at the same time.
Massa has a similar comment, stating that the "most incredible thing" about the vehicle is that compromising maximum performance and useability is unnecessary "whatever the driving environment." He further stated that it is "perfect" for daily use as a family vehicle.
