The search for the most iconic car badge in the world has ended with Ferrari's prancing horse coming out on top. The poll was commissioned by MPH featuring Top Gear Live and run by Orange Cars. Taking second place is luxury British sports car manufacturer, Aston Martin, which spoiled the Italians' sweep of all 3 places. Third place went to the raging bull of Lamborghini while Bugatti held the fourth position. Ferrari's win cannot be argued with 48% of all the 5,235 participants declaring Ferrari's prancing horse (Cavallino Rampante) the most iconic performance car badge in the world.
It's likely due to Ferrari's unbroken presence in Formula One since 1950 and testament to a long history of producing the best supercars of all time. Aston Martin, which is associated with the iconic James Bond, won 25% of the votes. Meanwhile, Lamborghini captured 8% of the voters. Bugatti, Porsche and Maseratti, took fourth, fifth, and sixth place respectively.
MPH The Prestige and Performance Motor Show devised the poll to highlight the vast array of high performance machinery on display at the annual automotive show at London's Earls Court and Birmingham's NEC in November. This year, expect to be enthralled with the star cars at the MPH show that include the breathtakingly beautiful Ferrari California, the awesome Ferrari Enzo and the gorgeous Aston Martin DBS Roadster along with the Lamborghini LP560/4 Spider plus 300 equally remarkable supercars from around the world.
