Ferrari Scuderia Spider 16M officially unveiled

The new Ferrari Scuderia Spider 16M was unveiled at the World Finals in Mugello, in order to celebrate the victory in the Formula 1 Constructor'd World Championship 2008. The new vehicle wich will be available in a limited edition of just 499 units is available in a choice of two new signature color schemes: the standard version is black with grey trim, while a tricolour livery is also available as part of the Carrozzeria Scaglietti Personalisation Programme. The car also features a special plate on its rear grille commemorating Ferrari's 16th Constructor's World title while at the interior a special silver limited series plate is placed above the air vents at the centre of the dash board.
Also, at the interior the car features a sport steering wheel with carbon-fiber, a new audio system that comes with a customised Ferrari iPod Touch 16 GB with central dock just in front of the dashboard. Under the hood, the 1340 kg vehicle comes with a 4.3-liter V8 engine capable to deliver 510 hp 8500 rpm and 470 Nm of torque at 5250 rpm, pushing the vehicle to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.7 seconds while the top speed is limited to 315 km/h or 196 mph.
The car features also a the six-speed plus reverse F1 gearbox fitted with a dry dual clutch and an electronic differential E-diff + F1-Trac. Stopping is not a problem due to the 398 mm carbon-ceramic discs on the front and 350 mm on the rear used behind the 19 inch five-spoke alloy wheels.
