The latest limited edition of the Fiat 500 is founded on the athletic Abarth and it has been designed to mark Karl Abarth's anniversary. Dubbed 500 Abarth "DA 0 A 100" (DA Zero A Cento), this specific model comes with an altered 1.4-liter turbocharged motor generating 160 hp and a maximum torque of 230 Nm. The memorial model also highlights different gear ratios aiding it to accelerate to 100 km/h (62 mph) from a standstill in 7.3 sec. The "DA 0 A 100's" ceiling speed is 211 km/h or 131mph. Furthermore, Abarth's technicians enhanced the 500's braking power by putting extra perforated disc brakes at the front and rear and also high performance front brake pads. Other alterations and improvements are a new air filter "powered by BMC," special low springs and new 17 inch alloy wheels, complete with chrome-plated hub covers and Scorpion emblem in relief, rounded off with Pirelli PZero Nero 205/40 R16 ZR 17 rubber.
On the exterior, the exceptional edition 500 Abarth sticks out because of its Nuvolari Grey bodywork accented by the side stripe with a tone-on-tone effect, the chrome-plated identification logos and wing mirror cases in addition to the four exhaust tailpipes. The inside gets a similar special treatment with exceptional leather seats in 'hide' color highlighting silver stitching.
The thumb-rests on the steering wheel, the center is embellished with the Italian flag, are clothed with hide colored leather, as the gear lever knob, the kick plate marked "da 0 a 100" and the special "da 0 a 100" plate with the number of the car are in aluminum. The same "da 0 a 100" emblem can be seen on the cover of the fuel tank, the ignition key holder and the car wrap. The price tag of this vehicle has not been made available yet, but the Italians have confirmed that there are only 101 of these vehicles that will be built so don't expect the car to be cheap.
