Fiat dealership applications exceeded expectations, says Chrysler

As you may know already, last week Chrysler Group unveiled some of its new models, such as the 2011 Jeep Patriot Facelift, the 2011 Chrysler 200 Sedan as well as the 2011 Fiat 500 Sport. Also, the 2012 Dodge Viper was shown to the dealers at a private meeting in a concept form, but due to its impressive designed inspired by the Alfa 8C Competizione, wht ecar was approved for production within 5 minutes.

As a result, Chrysler announced today that the proposals from dealers that are looking to sell Fiat vehicles in the United States already exceeded any expectations. The American manufacturer also said that dealers face a deadline today in order to submit proposals for a franchise to sell the Italian brand in the United States. Chrysler wants about 165 dealers to sell Fiats, still the manufacturer denied to say how many dealers applied for a Franchise and that the winners will be announced in October. 

The response from our dealers has exceeded our expectations,” Chrysler spokesman Ralph Kisiel said in an e-mail. “We now will begin reviewing the proposals and look forward to naming our Fiat dealers in the next few weeks.” [via Bloomberg]
