Fiat has launched a new version of the Fiat 500 range, the sporty and extravagantly equipped 500 Street. The Fiat 500 Street is targeted towards sports-minded customers who desire the style, economy and comfort of the Fiat 500 city car but with a sporty new look. The 500 Street features dark tinted windows and alloy wheels, as well as satin chrome finished mouldings, handles and door mirrors. A buyer could choose between three engines: the economical 1.2-litre petrol, the award-winning 0.9-litre TwinAir or the potent 1.3-litre MultiJet 2 diesel engine. The new Fiat 500 Street could be acquired in five colour choices: Bossanova White, Pasodoble Red, Crossover Black, Electroclash Grey or Matt Black. The Fiat 500 Street model is priced practically the same as the 500 Lounge version, with prices of £11,360 OTR for the 1.2-litre variant, £12,760 OTR for the TwinAir unit and £13,760 OTR for the 1.3-litre variant. Although it is priced £1400 more than the Fiat 500 Pop, the 500 Street is endowed with around £1800 worth of extra equipment including air conditioning, 16-inch alloy wheels, Blue&Me infotainment, sports seats, leather steering wheel with radio controls, and rear spoiler. Elena Bernardelli, marketing director, Fiat Group Automobiles UK, described the Fiat 500 Street as a car that offers a “fresh approach” to the Fiat 500 range.
