Fiat not interested in saving the Bertone name

The Turin Court's decision on which company takes over coachbuilder Carrozzeria Bertone will be announced next week. Fiat, one of five firms that had submitted bids, said that it will not save the Bertone name if it wins the deal. A Fiat spokesman said that it was interested only in the Grugliasco production facility and workforce.Bertone is currently in administration. Other firms that entered the bidding include Italian entrepreneur Gianmario Rossignolo, Chinese carmaker FAW Group Corp and an unnamed Spanish consortium.
