First Lotus Evora delivered to its buyer

Lotus Evora

The first ever customer of the Lotus Evora has just been given the keys to his very own 2+2 mid-engined sports car at the Norfolk firm's Hethel headquarters. Matthew Melling from Twickenham expressed his delight at being the first member of the public to get hold of the model, which recently won Autocar's Britain's Best Driver's Car 2009 award. He said that he was set on being the first in the world to get an Evora so he made sure to lay down his deposit within seconds of the order books being opened last year. He thanked the personnel at Stratton Motor Company for their help. Lotus dealers around the world have received their demonstrator Evoras. The company said that it has received orders worth five months of production. To fulfill the demand, it has added 150 members to its staff. Full production will be reached by the end of November. Luke Bennett, director of Lotus Cars said that he felt great giving away the keys to the Evora's first customer. He added that the company had been hard at work to design, engineer and produce such a stunning and high performing sportscar.
