First Subaru BRZ delivered in the UK

2012 subaru brz uk delivery

Deliveries of the all-new Subaru BRZ sports car have begun. Ed Horner got the keys to the first model (with a World Rally Blue Mica finish) delivered on June 26. Horner is from Wanstead, north-east London. He ordered the unit from local dealer, Woodford Motor Company in Woodford Green, Essex. He said that he chose the BRZ due to its light weight and conventional sports car shape. He also liked Subaru's focus on making a fun rear-wheel drive car. He said that he had never had a problem with any of the Subaru models he owned such as an Impreza Turbo and a Legacy Tourer, which he bought in 2010. He also praised the “really helpful” staff at the Woodford Motor Company. Stephen Barnard, Dealer Principal at Woodford Motor Co., said that even before the BRZ started selling, there has been a tremendous interest in it, from those who already have Subarus as well as those who don’t. Barnard said that the rear-wheel drive BRZ is the “perfect complement” to the other units in Subaru's All-Wheel Drive model range. He expressed confidence that this model will attract a new kind of customer, one who values its handling and rear-wheel drive responsiveness. Powering the Subaru BRZ is its trademark 200ps 2.0-litre Boxer petrol engine. This car has excellent handling features due to its emphasis on light weight and achieving an ultra-low centre of gravity, which is even lower even than that of the Ferrari 458. The BRZ range has a starting price of £24,995 on the road.
