First Volvo plug-in hybrid coming in 2012

After the partnership with the energy supplier Vattenfall of Switzerland was finalized, Volvo made an announcement saying that it intends to be a world leader in plug-in hybrid technology. Volvo said that its first product to used this technology will be available by 2012 and it will provide customers with high safety and true driving sensation. As long as it can meet the stringent safety requirements, the first electric car of Volvo will be under consideration. The green strategy of the carmaker, called the Driver Toward Zero, sees a future that is liberated from both emissions and accidents. The carmaker claims that, with the company's groundbreaking solution, the user will be able to drive a totally enjoyable car filled with safety features and driving pleasure, making the car that will be released in 2012 a truly the car of your dream. The car will use diesel powered by renewable synthetic diesel augment the batteries. The emissions of the car will be rated under 50g/km, the company claims.
