Fisker will start delivering its plug-in hybrid sportscar, the Karma, next year. So far, 1,400 orders have been received for the car designed by former Aston Martin and BMW designer Henrik Fisker. It bears the same height as a Porsche 911 but fits four adults plus their luggage. Electric range is measured at 50 miles. The Fisker Karma can return 100mpg and a 620 miles range when used in hybrid mode. Fisker spokesman, Russel Datz, said that production starts later this year and that the first customers will receive their cars in May or June 2010. Datz added, "Pre-production and prove-out vehicles will give way to customer cars toward early summer 2010."
