The Sunset, which is Fisker's third vehicle founded on the underpinnings of Karma, will be available by 2013, company CEO Henrik Fisker has confirmed at the Frankfurt Motor Show. This vehicle will serve as a halo car for the company's product range. The striking convertible was first shown to the public at the Detroit motor show in 2009 and has been largely overshadowed by the ambitious product goals of Fisker.
The company has also launched the Surf Concept, which is a five-door wagon, at Frankfurt and is based on Karma underpinnings, utilizing the same powertrain, says AutoWeek. The pricing was not provided, but is expected to be more than the sedan versions. Henrik Fisker disclosed that annual sales will be around 2,500 units.
On another note, the company has recently acquired a factory in Delaware formerly owned by General Motors. The company will be manufacturing a more affordable family sedan, dubbed as Project Nina, at this plant.
