FoMoCo gets a new head of sales for the Ford brand and Lincoln Mercury

201o Lincoln MKTRandy Ortiz, Ford Motor Co.‚ general manager of Ford and Lincoln Mercury sales, is retiring March 1. Hal Feder will be replacing him and as such, will report to Ken Czubay, Ford's vice president of US marketing, sales and service. Ortiz has been with Ford since 1982 and has been the head of sales for the Ford and Lincoln Mercury sales since January 2007. In December, Ford brand sales increased by 37% compared to the previous year. On the other hand, Lincoln gained 16% and Mercury had a 6% increase. Feder, 50 years old, is a lifetime Ford employee whose father, Hal Feder Sr., was a regional manager at Ford for more than 20 years. The last two years, Feder has served as CEO of Ford Motor Co. of Southern Africa. In that capacity, he managed sales and manufacturing. Ford manufactures the Mazda Drifter, Ford Focus CC, Mazda3, Ford Ranger and Ford Bantam in South Africa. [via autonews - sub. required]
