Dealerships can now learn how to use energy the most efficient way possible with Ford Motor Co.‚ program, the Green Dealer Initiative. Ford is offering to its dealerships an assessment of how the dealership uses energy followed by a recommendation on how to cut energy use. Ken Czubay, Ford's vice president of U.S. sales and marketing, says though that there will be a fee for this service and he also clarified that it's voluntary. He added that Ford had planned to reveal this offering during its meeting at the National Automobile Dealers Association convention. According to Ford, the changes that it will recommend to dealerships could cost from $100,000 to $800,000. Czubay assures dealers that they can make up this investment in three years. On that meeting, Ford also wants to announce a Customer Service Committee. This committee, which will be composed of 18 dealers, will conduct a study on the ways that dealers can improve customers' experiences.
