Ford planning to sell the Wixom plant

Terms of the acquisition are still unavailable. There is room on the 320-acre site for other tenants as Wixom has 14.7 million square feet of manufacturing space. In a statement, Phil Horlock, chairman and CEO of Ford Motor Land Development Corp. said that the company had numerous options for the site but this project revitalizes a closed auto plant and the local community has the greatest potential to bring green jobs and economic development to the region.
