Sales of the 2010 Ford Fusion have propelled the carmaker this year to sell a record 31,000 hybrids from January to November 2009. According to the Blue Oval's records, this figure beats the record set in 2007. However, this hybrid portion only amounts to 2.1% when placed alongside the more than 1.4 million vehicles that Ford has sold so far in 2009. Ford's hybrid sales were up 67% year-to-date.
Ford wants to point out though that overall industry hybrid sales fell 11% so far this year. Another achievement that Ford is proud of is the Fusion model (hybrid and standard) breaking into the Top Ten last month for all vehicle sales.
