Ford to launch Lincoln brand in China in the second half of 2014

Yesterday, we announced you that Ford will end its partnership with Mazda in China as Alan Mullaly told the reporters in an interview. Same Mulally told the reporters today that Ford will launch the Lincoln brand in China. This means that the American luxury brand will be able to get some new customers in the world's biggest auto market. According to an official press release, Ford will sell Lincoln vehicles in china through an independent dealer network but the company will begin meeting aspiring dealers in the fourth quarter of this year. Alan Mulally said that the introduction of Lincoln in China is company’s next step in expanding its business in Asia. In order to stand out in front of competition, Lincoln will offer more individualized and personalized products. Although Ford is not so new in China, the American manufacturer is moving fast to catch up and as a result it will launch 15 new Ford-branded vehicles and 20 powertrains by 2015 to Chinese customers. The first Lincoln cars to hit the Chinese market will be manufactured in North America, while a local production could be considered later.
